A Board of Directors governs VS-Lanark County. The VS-LC board is
community based. Board members are volunteers, who
either reside in, or are employed in the community, acting in a policy and governance capacity rather than
in a front line, direct service capacity.
Directors
determine the Policy for VS-LC
and,
working with the Executive Director,
help develop process and mechanisms to ensure
accountability.
The
Board enjoys the benefit of police members from all of
the Lanark County police services on the Board of
Directors. The board is representative of Lanark
County.
VS-LC Staff
We have two staff members:

Executive Director who reports to the Board of
Directors, and
-
Volunteer Support Coordinator.
VS-LC relies on agency-trained
community volunteers to perform the majority of crisis
responses.
Experienced volunteers lend themselves to mentoring and
Team-lead positions. |
